Privacy
What we collect on this site, where it goes, and how to get it removed. Short, because the site does very little.
What the forms collect
The gap report form asks for your marina or group website and an email address, and optionally your company name and how many marinas you run. It also records which page you submitted from and your browser’s user agent. To limit abuse, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself.
The assessment never asks for anything to show you a result. If you choose “Email me this result,” we collect the email address you type, plus the gap, the band, and the fixes we showed you, so we can send them.
Where it goes
A submission is emailed to the Clix team and stored in a private database that only Clix staff can read. It is not added to a mailing list, not enriched by a third party, and not sold or shared with anyone. We use it to run your gap report or send your result, and to reply to you.
What the demo tools store
The slip finder, waitlist, cost calculator, and the other tools run on demo data for a fictional marina group. When
you join a demo waitlist, request a demo slip, or reserve a demo haul-out week, that entry is saved in your own
browser’s local storage under the name cfm-demo-v1, so the tools can show it back to you. Nothing you type
into a demo tool is sent to Clix or anyone else. “Reset demo data” on any tool page deletes all of it, and so does
clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages and tools are used. It runs with IP anonymization on, Google signals and ad personalization off, no advertising features, no cross-site tracking, and no user ID. Tool events carry categories and ranges (for example, “a boat between 25 and 29 feet”), never your name, email, or anything you typed.
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, analytics does not load at all. Google Analytics sets its
own first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell one visit from
another; they expire after at most two years.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies are the Google Analytics cookies described above, and only when analytics loads.
Getting it removed
Email rory@clix.co and ask. We will delete your submission and confirm when it is done.
